Bequests
Every parishioner is encouraged to consider the parish, other Catholic causes and general community needs when preparing or updating a final will and testament. Often people cannot be as generous during their lifetime as they would choose. However, they can make provisions, even small ones, in their wills. Please consider remembering Saint Agnes Parish, Saint Agnes School, or the Msgr. John F. Murphy School Endowment Fund in your will. Remember, if you don’t make a will designating your wishes regarding your estate, the State of Kentucky supplies one, which may or may not be in accord with your wishes. Remembering our parish in your will is an excellent way to leave a legacy with our parish. Saint Agnes Parish and School has benefited in the past from bequests.
My Catholic Will
As Catholics, we are called to be good stewards of God’s blessings, not just during our lifetime but beyond. That is why having a legally valid will is critical. But despite its importance more than 60% of Americans do not have a will.
It’s something many of us put off, thinking we have plenty of time or assuming it’s complicated. But having a will is one of the most important things you can do for your family—it provides peace of mind, ensures your wishes are honored and lifts a heavy burden from your loved ones during difficult times.
St. Agnes is now partnering with My Catholic Will to offer you the opportunity to create a legally valid will for free. This simple, secure and Catholic-centered resource allows you to take care of your family while also considering the legacy of your faith.
Creating your will through My Catholic Will is simple, secure and rooted in Catholic values. I encourage you to take advantage of this free resource and prayerfully consider including St. Agnes in your legacy. Even a small bequest can make a lasting difference.
